1. Give yourself a “time out”

The world is moving at a frantic pace, so it’s important to consistently schedule time for yourself. Block out your calendar, then lock yourself in the bathroom for 30 minutes and soak in the tub while reading your favorite magazine, or treat yourself to an at-home pedicure. It’ll do wonders for your attitude and peace of mind. You won’t regret it!

2. Go shopping

Comb the aisles of your favorite store to find beauty products with soft and appealing scents that will make your at-home spa day really indulgent. Then, shake up your shaving routine—treat yourself to the Venus Spa Breeze® razor featuring flexible shave gel bars infused with the clean, fresh scent of white tea. You'll indulge your senses and get a close, smooth shave at the same time.

3. Make it "scentsational"

Studies show that the scent of lavender slows brain waves. But, why stop there? Relax the rest of your body too—stock your bathroom with lavender-scented candles, draw a warm bath and dim the lights to create a tranquil, spa-tacular atmosphere at home.

4. Cool down

Make healthy, delicious “spa water” at home—fill the bottom of a clean pitcher with one chopped cucumber, one sliced orange, lime or lemon and a few ice cubes. Add sparkling or plain mineral water and shake gently to release the fruit flavor. For best results, chill the mixture in the refrigerator for an hour before drinking. For an added treat, place a cucumber slice over each eye to help rejuvenate the area beneath them.

5. Tune in, tune out and dance

Eliminate all distractions—turn off your cell phone and PDA—and create an ultimate relaxation MP3 playlist. Include favorite songs that remind you of vacations and other lighthearted moments in life that will transport you away from everyday stress. Then, take it one step further and dance your remaining stress away!

6. Wrap it up

After your bath or shower, envelop yourself in fresh, fluffy, lightly scented towels—it's a luxurious way to continue your at-home spa experience. For an added treat, warm them in the dryer with a Bounce® sheet for a few minutes beforehand.
